In the late 1990′s, community leaders and gardening enthusiasts transformed the three adjoining lots into a vibrant and dynamic public garden. In the early 2000′s, the three lots were deeded to the Trust for Public Land. Ever since, the members of the Prospect Heights Community Farm have taken responsibility for maintaining the site on behalf of TPL.
